Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, whether you want to explore the surroundings, take a dip in the pool, or simply relax while witnessing the captivating sunset over the Laccadive Sea.

Bid farewell to Colombo as we embark on an exciting journey to Dambulla. On the way, we'll make a stop at a lively fruit and vegetable market in Naramwela Town. Our first highlight of the day is the awe-inspiring Dambulla Rock Temple, a fascinating cave complex dating back to the 1st century BC, adorned with around 150 Buddha images, including a magnificent 14-meter tall sculpture. After exploring this historical marvel, we continue to Polonnaruwa, an ancient city with remarkable monuments and intriguing ruins from the 11th century. Discover the Royal Palace and Gal Vihara, and immerse yourself in the history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, we return to Dambulla for a relaxing evening.

Today, we venture to the iconic Sigiriya, also known as Lion Rock. This majestic rock fortress, standing tall amidst lush jungle, served as a vital stronghold in a fortified town covering 70 hectares, constructed over 1500 years ago. Offering breathtaking views, the Sigiriya Rock showcases the famous murals of the Heavenly Maidens, accessible via a spiral staircase. Next, we head to the quaint village of Kayanwala, where you'll experience a delightful cooking demonstration in a local woman's traditional mud-brick home. Savor a freshly prepared lunch of curry, dahl, spicy rice, pickle, and other local delicacies. In the evening, be enchanted by a captivating cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dance and music.

Enjoy some free time in the morning before we embark on a picturesque train ride to Nuwara Eliya, the famous hill resort of Sri Lanka. As we traverse through lush tea plantations, waterfalls, and enchanting bridges, the train journey is a delight to behold. Nuwara Eliya, also referred to as "Little England," is known for producing some of the world's finest tea. Explore this charming town amidst the beautiful landscapes.

Today, we travel to Embilipitiya in the south, where we'll stay while exploring Udawalawe National Park. The park is renowned for its abundant Sri Lankan elephant population, and you may spot as many as 400 elephants during your visit.
